Romans 12:1

Make a decisive dedication of your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, consecrated and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable service and spiritual worship.

3 P's to Avoid, If We Are To Stay Consecrated
1.

Problematic People

2 Thessalonians 3:6

Withdraw from all believers who live idle lives and don't follow the tradition they received from us. For you know that you ought to imitate us.

Luke 8:50

He permitted none except Peter, James, John, and the parents. Now all wept and mourned; but He said, "Don't weep; she's not dead, but sleeping." They ridiculed Him, knowing she was dead. But He put them all outside, took her by the hand and said "Little girl, arise." Then her spirit returned, and she arose immediately.

Poisonous Past

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Some people may have to throw certain movies, cds away, even unfollow people on Instagram, etc.

By the word — Eph 5:25 washed by the cleansing of god's word.

By prayer — Matt 26:41 keep watch and pray, so that you will not give into temptation.

Pitfall of Pride

One of the quickest ways to fail in your walk with God is to not listen to and obey the Godly influences he has given you

John 15:5

I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing

Proverbs 16:18

Pride goes before destruction, and haughtiness before a fall.

We need grace to change and become what God called us to be

James 4:6

Therefore He says: "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

Humility is realizing how desperately you need God, in every area of your life.
